When does Production make sense?

When you send drawings steadily from your own systems. From 472 pages a month it costs less than Pay as You Go.

Is there a minimum term?

Pay as You Go has no term. Production is month to month: cancel to the end of any month, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing month.

Can I try the API without code, before paying?

Yes, in the browser demo: it reads your own drawing with no code, no signup and no card. An API key needs a card: Pay as You Go checks it with €1, credited to you in full, and Production is paid at checkout.
