Pinned to the EU or the US when you need it.
On the API, the residency add-on pins every drawing, result and log to one region for its whole life. Without it, requests run on global data residency: Werk24 chooses the region.

Encrypted transfer
The drawing is sent over TLS, scoped to your API key and region.
- 02 · PROCESS
Extraction
Read in the region Werk24 chooses, or only inside your pinned region with the residency add-on.
- 03 · RETURN
Typed JSON back
Structured data returns over the same encrypted channel, with source coordinates.
- 04 · DISCARD
Kept up to 24 hours
Then deleted. Beyond that only what your data settings allow; with zero retention, nothing.

What your IT will ask
Studio is hosted on AWS in the EU (Frankfurt), with US hosting on request. On the API without the residency add-on, requests run on global data residency and Werk24 chooses the region; with it, every drawing, result and log stays in Frankfurt (backup in Stockholm) or, set up on request, in N. Virginia (backup in N. California).
